BID NOTICE Sealed bids for BID NOTICE Sealed bids for the SIESTA MANOR SEWER REHABILITATION PROJECT (CDBG SI-23-001) will be received by the Northeast Public Sewer District until 2:00 p.m. local time on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at the District Office, 1041 Gravois Road, Fenton, MO 63026, where at that place and time all bids that have been duly received will be publicly opened and read aloud. Any bids received after such date and time shall be returned unopened. Bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes and marked “Siesta Manor Sewer Rehabilitation Project (CDBG SI-23-001)”. Contract Documents may be examined during normal business hours at the following locations: Northeast Public Sewer District Drexel Technologies 1041 Gravois Road 60 Progress Parkway Fenton, MO 63026 Maryland Heights, MO 63043 Copies of the plans and specifications may be obtained from Drexel Technologies at www.drexeltech.com in their eDistribution plan room. Information regarding this project can be found in the “Public Jobs” line on the www.drexeltech.com website. Contractors desiring paper copies of the contract documents may also obtain a set of such documents from Drexel Technologies: 60 Progress Parkway, Maryland Heights, MO 63043, 314-872-0900. See the Drexel Technologies website for pricing. Effective January 1, 2009, and pursuant to RSMo 285.530 (1), No business entity or employer shall knowingly employ, hire for employment, or continue to employ an unauthorized alien to perform work within the state of Missouri. The successful bidder must submit a sworn affidavit and documentation affirming the business entity’s enrollment and participation in the federal work authorization program and that all of its employees working for the contracted services are not illegal immigrants. The Project is subject to the requirements of Section 292.675 RSMo, which requires all contractor or subcontractors doing work on the Project to provide, and require its on-site employees to complete, a ten (10) hour course in construction safety and health approved by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) or a similar program approved by the Missouri department of Labor and Industrial Relations that is at least as stringent as an approve OSHA program. Bid security in the amount of 5 percent of the Bidder’s Maximum Bid Price must accompany each Bid, as stated in the Instructions to Bidders. All work to be performed under this contract is subject to the requirements of Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968, as amended, 12 U.S.C. 1701u. Successful bidder agrees to comply with HUD’S regulations in 24 CFR Part 135. The project is a federally-funded prevailing wage project which triggers Federal Labor Standards Compliance. The wage rates applicable to this project have been predetermined as required by law and are set forth in this specification. The contractor will ensure that trash cans are maintained in a clean and sanitary condition according to the schedule and requirements set forth below. Locations and Cleaning Schedule: 1. City Park (766 Joachim Ave): o January, February, March, April, October, November, December: 4 cans to be cleaned monthly. o May, June, July, August, September: 10 cans to be cleaned weekly. 2. Weekly cleaning of 10 cans at City Park (May, June, July, August, September). 3. Monthly cleaning of 2 cans at City Fire Department (year-round). Insurance Requirements: Contractors must meet the insurance requirements as per the City of Herculaneum Missouri bidding process.
